3. Der alte Mann und das Meer (노인과 바다)

 

Die Mittagssonne schien ihm gut zu tun,
er schlief und sah zufrieden aus.
Ein alter Strohhut deckte ihn fast zu,
ein Boot, ja das war sein zu Haus.
Und so mancher blieb ein Weilchen vor ihm stehen,
und so mancher haette gern mit ihm getauscht.

Der alte Mann und das Meer
gab eine Zeit,
so einen Hauch von Ewigkeit.
Und die Insel lud zum Traeumen ein.
Der alte Mann und das Meer,
ein Bild so schoen,
das wuerd' ich gerne wiederseh'n.
Abschiednehmen machten beider schwer,
der alte Mann und das Meer.

Am Abend hoerte ich ihm gerne zu,
er sang und sprach mit sich allein.
Er sagte, dass er gern ein Fischer sei,
es reicht fuer'n bisschen Brot und Wein.
Und sein Netz war immer voller als bei andern,
doch die meisten Fische liess er wieder frei.

Des Sommers heisse Spur'n auf meiner Haut
sind blass, beinah nicht mehr zu seh'n.
Da hoer ich jener alte Mann sei fort,
und frag, was ist denn da gescheh'n.
Und man sagt er waer' mit seinem Schiff gesunken,
er nahm viel zu viele Fische in sein Boot,
wollte einmal vollbeladen heimwaerts fahren,
da versank er mit dem ersten Morgenrot.

미국의 작가 E.헤밍웨이(1899~1961)의 중편소설를 영화화한 작품으로 쿠바의 노어부가 84일 동안이나 아무런 어획(漁獲)도 없이 바다 가운데까지 멀리 나가 85일째 되는 날 거대한 물고기가 걸린다.
이틀간의 고투 끝에 그 물고기에 작살을 찍어 선측(船側)에 매어 끌고 돌아온다.
얼마 후에 상어가 나타나 그 물고기를 노리는데, 노인은 칼로 상어 몇 마리를 죽이고, 항구에 돌아와 보니 또 다른 상어들이 그 물고기를 다 뜯어먹고 머리와 뼈만 남아 있었다는 이야기이다

특히 스펜서 트레이시가 세월의 편린으로 주름살이 패이고 젊은 시절의 열정이 점차 사라져 가는 나이든 어부역을 탁월하게 열연해 주었다
이 영화에서 인간은 상어로 상징되는 죽음에 의하여 패배하지만, 용기와 자기극복으로 과감하게 죽음과 대결하는 데 인간의 존엄성이 있다는 작가 헤밍웨이 나름의 실존철학이 담긴 영화

 

 

 

Nicole Flieg

 

1965년 독일 샬브뤼켄 태생인 니콜레 플리그(Nicole Flieg). 그녀는 17세때 서독 대표를 뽑는 유로비젼 송 콘테스트 예선에서 우승하면서 연예계와 인연을 맺었다. 

 

뛰어난 미모와 우수한 가창력을 지닌 니콜레는, 1982년 4월 24일에 영국에서 열린 제27회 유로비젼 송 콘테스트에 17세의 최연소자로 출전하여 '평화를 위해 노력하자‘는 내용을 담은 ＜Ein Bisschen Frieden(A Little Peace)＞를 불러서 각국의  심사위원들로부터 최고의 점수를 받으며 그랑프리를 수상했다.

 

그녀의 인기가 높아짐에 따라, 아예 직업 가수로 변신한 니콜레는, 1982년 자신의 첫 앨범 「Flieg Nicht So Hoch Mein Kleiner Freund」를 발표했는데, 이 앨범은 Robert Jung이 프로듀스하였다.
수상곡이자 출세작인＜Ein Bisschen Frieden(A Little Peace)는 징기스칸 그룹을 만들었던 랄프 지젤과 베른트 마이넹거 콤비가 작사, 작곡을 맡았는데, 후에 영어, 독어, 네덜란드어, 스페인어 등 각국어로 녹음되어 소개되었으며, 영국에서는 1982년 5월 15일부터 4주간 1위를 마크했다.
